Useful Tips

I love the Cost Tags for coding expenses relating to a specific project, like being able to report on a fencing project within the usual R&M:F. Also fantastic for reporting on a project that has multiple areas of spend, for example having a Cost Tag for Calf Rearing to tag the wages, animal health, feed and so on and be able to report on how much rearing those calves has cost.

Hi... Thought I would let you know a work around. It is a bit convoluted, but it works! We have a local shop and also the Vet club which we buy a lot of varied product from, and I want to split the transaction into multiple categories. They both send monthly statements out in PDF form. This is how I construct a CSV file so that all the lines can be picked up by Focus. Download statement Open file using Word Open old, already loaded transaction file (I use a PGG rile) in excel. Copy transaction lines from Word file and paste into the PGG csv excel file (beneath the previous transactions... leave them there until you have checked everything) Make all the columns correspond... i.e. copy and paste to get the amount and description into the right column Make sure there are no merged cells delete all non-transaction lines (e.g. summaries, invoice totals etc) and of course the old PGG lines... but leave the column headings. Save as a CSV file Go into Focus, download file as a "PGG" file (or rural co or farmsource... whatever the original transaction file you used was). Make sure the statement date is correct and CHANGE THE OTHER PARTY NAME Upload and code as normal for "PGG"! Saves me a lot of paper, pencils, and head scratching! And of course you can use coding rules as well.

Can you roll end of year stock numbers into new financial year?

For the other party can you please show bank accounts details on the screen for checking? So you don't have to go edit to see the details

After downloading my bank statement to start coding, the transactions on Farm Focus are always back to front. ie FF wants me to code from the last date of statement instead of the beginning of the month. I find this frustrating as I'm basically going backwards, ie bottom to top. Is there a way of reversing this layout in FF?

It would be nice if only the transaction come up for matching if they have a matching one to match. The rest should stay behind to be categorized. Any thoughts? Jan

What is the best way for Equity farmer and other non owners of livestock to still see $/cow in the Economic report

Label help topics with similar description to the fix, ie the email clients receive to 'Review your document' or 'needs reviewing', it would be helpful if this wording was able to be used in the help desk search to take you to the answer rather than searching through all the 'troubleshooting' articles for the answer
