Latest GST report update

The old GST report where the transactions were separated into GST inclusive and exclusive areas was much easier to read than the current upgraded report. Any chance this could be reinstated?

Thank you for your feedback.
You can still sort by GST type in the return, this has not changed and your selection should persist.
Once sorted by that you can then use the arrows on the left to expand and collapse to see the coded lines under each GST type.
We will look at separating income from expenses as an enhancement to the return in the future.

I want this too please! makes it so much harder to check GST coded correctly in the new updated format.
Why did it need changing?
Also I can't read all the descriptions (that column is too narrow), idea to solve this could be to make the code column could be smaller to accommodate reading the description. (I use description to confirm I've coded it correctly)
cheers

I am aware that the description comes up if I hover the mouse over it but that is very time consuming and on my slow internet it's frustrating and doesn't load well.

sorry one more bit to add, (
IF the description column was wider, when I print report with coded lines the report would be half the size/sheets of paper.
Currently it is all double line width/thickness to fit in description and is now 12 pages long!!!!
I still have old school (prefer paper holding)accountant & company directors, which is why I print the report off.
I do appreciate that you've changed it so I can now read all the description on printed report (I had asked for it awhile back, so thanks) but I don't think it is done very well.
I'm not a computer coder/webpage designer/tech savvy creator person, so there is probably a reason for it being done that way,
Its just frustrating especially as the GST report in rural could show all description plus the other details that focus shows in GST report and be read clearly and printed concisely.
Cheers

If you could save your preference for the sort and the GST transactions could be sorted in income and expenses it could actually be an improvement, but currently checking the GST return requires fiddling until the sorting is right before you can do it. So you h=made things harder not easier.

I'm sorry, but it does not save my preferred sort. It may retain it per database: I have many databases, and so far, I have had to go through the process for every single one. After the sort, you still have to expand each section: more clicks = slower and more work. That means it is not an improvement. Also, my GST reports are about twice as many pages now than before, with lines in between and two lines for every transaction, and they have headers and footers on every page, so much waste of space and it does not make it easier to read.

Evelien Baas: It saves per user per farm so it will remember for each farm you have selected it in.
I will pass your other feedback on to the team.
