Date issues with dd/mm/yy format

Invoices with a date showing as dd/mm/yy convert to 0021 rather than 2021 when scanned so each has to be corrected. Can there be a default to the current year prefix of 20? Thanks

Hi Cathie. Can you please provide more detail on this issue and perhaps attach a screenshot as an example? Is this happening when you use the invoice scanner?

Sarah at Farm Focus: Hi Sarah - yes it is when an invoice is scanned and the due date for example is written as 20 07 21 on the invoice rather then 20 07 2021 then the documents are dated 20 07 0021 or just 0021 from memory in the needs action page where you go to correct the invoices. I noticed the other day that once I had corrected the invoice for lines but forgot to correct the date it seemed to appear on the correct area anyway so maybe it isn't an issue but it threw me a bit when I first saw it and didn't know how to correct it. I have coded all my invoices this month but next time I see it I will reply again with a screen shot.

Cathie Bell: Thanks Cathie. I'll try and recreate the issue on this end. Sending a screenshot next time would be a great help.

Sarah at Farm Focus: Hi Sarah, here is that screen shot. It mainly happens with Contact invoices that have their due date as per the screen shot here with only a 2 digit year shown.

I have just gone into Focus and "filled in the gaps" and although I did not alter the due date to a 4 digit number, the due date in the top green area showed as a 2 digit number as I think it always does and when I saved it, it came up under 2021 rather than 0021 as per screen shot, so maybe it isn't a big problem but is a bit confusing the first time you strike it.

Cathie Bell: Thank you for providing the screenshots and detail. Would you mind sending me a copy of the Contact invoice so I can reproduce on my end?

Sarah at Farm Focus: No problem but it is 2 pages and I can't attach a PDF. Shall I send it as 2 Jpegs (will only save as a jpeg one page at a time) and you put it back together as a PDF? The due date is on the second page. Or do you have an email address I can send it to?

Cathie Bell: If you normally get it as a PDF then it would be good to get it in that format so if you could please send it to sarah.higgins@farmfocus.co.nz that would be great. Thanks

Cathie Bell: Thanks Cathie I received the PDF. I have tried to recreate the issue on my end but when I scanned the invoice into my farm the date came in correctly. When I go to fill in the gaps I can see it correctly converted the date. See my screenshot. The invoice scanning software is a learning software so if this happens again you could try getting it to pick up the date on page 1 which is shown as 2021. Or it may just correct itself just by opening fill in the gaps.

Sarah at Farm Focus: Interesting - I have corrected it many times and it never comes up with adding in the 20 on the 2021 year part like it has with yours. As I said - not too big a problem now I know why it happens and that it self corrects once filled in. Thanks Sarah
