Change Dairy Forecaster settings for the upcoming season and scenario planning

Could the ability to change the sharemilking/LOSM % in the draft budget for next season be added without changing the current working plan please?

Adjusting Sharemilker/Owner %

When I am wanting to create a new year Working Plan and the rate paid to the Sharemilker is increased in the Dairy Forecaster, it alters the current year Working Plan rate in to the new rate. I then have to keep amending the rates between the different years Working Plans as the % rate doesn't remain fixed depending on which Working Plan I am editing.

Dairy Forecaster needs work

The software should be able to calculate all payment types based on inputs into the dairy forecaster. Currently only base price seems to flow out of dairy forecaster however even this isnt working for me at the mo as Westland prices are not feeding into it. The dairy forecaster also needs to calculate repros and premiums such as A2 as all the info is sitting in there. Its frustrating having to manually calculate all these additional codes to get an accurate plan/budget.

Hi Paul, thank you for your feedback. We are working on improvements to the dairy forecaster. At this stage we have prices for Fonterra and Synlait. You can select "Other" for the dairy company to make it more free-format if you have particular premiums or payment schemes that you want to allow for.

This feature is in the Backlog and we will advise you when its status changes.
As a workaround for now, you could look at creating another Milk Solids code in your code list for different scenarios.
Have a look at this top on our help-centre for more info:

Second this, you should be able to set the draft budget for options such as leasing, Contract milking and Sharemilking. Even if there was a whole new tab called scenario where you could look at different options without doing a whole new budget
